Mike has developed a wealth of experience in engineering design, project management and construction oversite in various types and sizes of structural design projects. Areas of expertise include structural steel design, concrete slipform, and foundations for various structures in addition to special wind and seismic requirements.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys golfing, following the Iowa State Cyclones, and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
Mike is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Institute of Steel Construction, and American Concrete Institute.
Why did you choose your profession?
Mike has always been interested in math, science, and building things. Even as a child, he would design toothpick bridges, which eventually led to pursuit of an engineering degree at Iowa State.
