Carl enjoyed math in high school and thought it might be a good thing if he could somehow use it in his profession. When he was in the later years of high school, his dad threw out the suggestion that he ought to go into the field of engineering. When he was in college, a professor mentor suggested that he go into the structural branch of civil engineering.

He likes the variety of work and the friendly work environment at KC Engineering. He also appreciates the wealth of knowledge that exists in KC Engineering’s office. Carl joined KC Engineering in 1990.

One of his favorite quotes he learned from a wall plaque his parents had in their home when he was growing up. It’s a shortened version of the Serenity Prayer:
God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
